What is the problem with giving people time to grow and time to flourish, why have we created such an environment that is so demanding of results and delivering ROI?

We want grounded people that are courageous; not just in their beliefs, but in finding out what they are good at, what they need to work harder at. We want them to be courageous in being the best friend they can be, courageous in their kindness, self-discipline, self-motivation and self-moderation.

Here is the problem though - we want it now, I mean right now, not tomorrow!

We need to give it time. We need to really think about the kind of development we can influence.

This almost involves the ecology of the human being. It's not just about making decisions about right and wrong, working or living in a civil society. It's about values, about a way of life. It's about producing people that are selfless, good communicators. They can work as a team, and don't take themselves too seriously. There is a fine line, but they're confident, not arrogant.

We want our people to grow step by step, target by target, it should be part of our DNA. Give them an opportunity to realise the importance of how you behave, how you talk, how you present yourself, how sometimes your voice is not more important than another voice.

Remember a ten-year-old kid is not half a twenty year old, it doesn't work like that.
