When Google talks about design the world tends to pay attention.
Material Design was a big step forward for the tech giant, setting out their vision for the Android ecosystem and giving everyone a framework to create within, and now they're throwing some new sexy bits in to the mix.
Specifically, we're talking UI animations, the really glam (when used properly) part of UI design.
The latest bit of news in the world of Material Design is bottom nav bars, but they're not simply chucking something in to the space, it's about interaction and how the user gets there.
But the bottom bar isn't meant to be just a clone of iOS, which has long embraced this scheme. Google has specific animation recommendations: the bar should fade to the bottom and off the screen while scrolling and reappear when moving back up.
