Animations, transitions and all the flair which has evolved in UI design is incredible, it's what makes Apple design so good for a start - incredibly simple, clean design, with touches which bring it to life.

The big gap in the industry is the lack of best practice for introducing animations to UI, it's a wild world out there.

Kit Oliynyk spotted this, and after a year of research, 55,000 animations and some creative vision, he's taking the steps towards a clearer vision for this exciting area of UI design.
