I'll admit it, UX choreography was a new one to me. But it makes sense.
Animations, transitions and all the flair which has evolved in UI design is incredible, it's what makes Apple design so good for a start - incredibly simple, clean design, with touches which bring it to life.
The big gap in the industry is the lack of best practice for introducing animations to UI, it's a wild world out there.
Kit Oliynyk spotted this, and after a year of research, 55,000 animations and some creative vision, he's taking the steps towards a clearer vision for this exciting area of UI design.
Alright, I figured it must be about best practices. I went on Dribbble and added the “animation” tag feed to my RSS. That was a year ago. People were posting roughly 150 animations a day, and I was examining all of them. So basically, this year alone I’ve watched over 55,000 GIFs.
